Application of high-humidity waste gas dust removal technology
I. Environmental Protection Policy Requirements
On January 9, 2020, the China Environmental Protection Industry Association issued the "Technical Guide for Ultra-Low Emission Transformation of Iron and Steel Enterprises," clearly stating that dust removal facilities should be constructed.
The Ministry of Ecology and Environment and four other ministries jointly issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of Ultra-Low Emissions in the Iron and Steel Industry" (huan daqi [2019] No. 35), requiring steel enterprises nationwide to gradually transform and significantly reduce emissions.
In June 2020, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued an urgent document, the "Technical Guide for the Development of Emergency Emission Reduction Measures for Key Industries during Heavy Pollution Weather" (huan daqi [2020] No. 340), which specifies that rolling mills should use plastic burning plate dust removal or spray dust suppression, and sintered materials should use high-humidity exhaust gas dust removal.
II. Technology Application
Shandong Ruilong Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. successfully put into operation the high-humidity exhaust gas treatment and wet dust removal project for the sintering workshop mixing system of Shiheng Special Steel Group Co., Ltd. The project includes design, equipment manufacturing, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance training, and delivery provided by Shandong Ruilong Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. The high-efficiency wet dust removal system used in this project was developed and designed by Shandong Ruilong Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. specifically for the treatment of steam-containing dust in the iron and steel metallurgy industry. It perfectly solves the problems of easy adhesion and scaling of steam-containing dust generated during the sintering mixing, batching, and shuttle feeding processes. It boasts high dust removal efficiency, low maintenance costs, and no secondary pollution. After the project was put into operation, the dust content in the sintering batching area decreased from >50 mg/Nm³ before the project's operation to ≤10 mg/Nm³, meeting the national ultra-low emission concentration standard.
III. Dust Removal Characteristics
The system features high dust collection efficiency, low maintenance costs, and dust removal water recycling, effectively solving the long-standing problem of non-compliant flue gas emissions during the sintering process. Currently, after the project's commissioning, various operating parameters are stable. Under the repeated washing action of the wet dust collector, the dust removal efficiency has been significantly improved, and the flue gas emission concentration is far better than the ultra-low emission standard, further improving production stability.
IV. Design Description
The wet dust removal system (patent No.: N217340686U, a high-efficiency wet dust removal system for ultra-low emissions) designed and developed by Shandong Ruilong Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has a spray system in the front-end pipeline of the dust collector, a spray area inside the dust collector body, high-efficiency atomizing nozzles in all parts, and an impact chamber at the inlet. After the dusty air enters the main pipeline and the impact chamber, the mist droplets collide with and contact the dust particles in the air. Some large-diameter dust particles can be directly captured by the mist droplets, agglomerating in the droplets and flowing with the water to the sedimentation tank inside the dust collector body. This design, on the one hand, pre-treats the dusty gas to reduce the dust concentration; on the other hand, the high-pressure spray system in the pipeline can flush the inner wall of the pipeline, effectively preventing scaling on the inner wall of the pipeline. This solves problems that traditional dust removal methods cannot solve.
This wet dust removal system can be used not only in the metallurgical industry but also widely in other industries such as chemical, power, and cement.
