Basic Working Principle of Wet Electrostatic

Under the action of DC high voltage, the metal discharge wire ionizes the surrounding gas, charging the surface of dust or mist particles. The charged particles move toward the dust collection electrode under the electric field force and deposit on the electrode. Water flows down from the top of the collection plate, washing the captured dust into the ash hopper and discharging it with the water.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator

Dust collection efficiency is not affected by dust characteristics, ash composition, or resistivity. Water mist droplets are conductive and highly charged, which is beneficial for dust removal. High approaching velocity and small equipment footprint.

① The flue gas temperature must be lowered below the saturation temperature;

② Difficult to use wet electrostatic precipitators under high SOx concentration flue gas conditions;

③ Difficult to use wet electrostatic precipitators under high dust concentration;

④ Wastewater treatment equipment must be installed;

⑤ Good anti-corrosion measures must be taken.
